Manny is an Inuvialuit, who was raised by his grandparents in Sachs Harbour Northwest Territories. He has been happily engaged for twenty years and has three daughters and one grandchild. Manny has worked in the arctic as a guide, observer/communicator and corporate manager, and has played an important role in every organization in the community from a young age. His political career started at age 19 when he was appointed to the Musk-ox Product Company Board of Directors. He is currently the Vice-Chairperson of the Inuvialuit Game Council and has periodically served the community of Sachs Harbour as the Director of the Inuvialuit Game Council, he was also the Director of the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation for seven years and has served the community on numerous other boards. Being raised through custom adoption, fishing and hunting were taught at an early age along with a healthy respect for the land and the people, and Manny has been outspoken about many issues in the arctic. He also is an avid reader, of the fantasy genre, and plays many Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Games (MMORPGs).
